been so long

i have such a short attention span when it comes to trying out new songs.
when i start to listen, you have about 5-10 seconds to get me hooked.
i guess it might be the same for people. i usually can tell right away if i'll like someone or not.

speaking of tuneskiis, i'm going through my ipod and listening to every song alphabetically. i always upload a bunch of stuff but forget to listen to it. i've discovered i really like vetiver

been so long - vetiver

one for the ears. it may be my favorite song i have on my pod starting with b.

really off topic, but there are these two people in one or two of my film classes...i can't decide if they're a couple or if they're siblings. they have the same last name, so i thought maybe siblings because they never really hold hands or anything. but then today she had her arm on him in a loverboy way. so i hope that means they're a couple. so that means they're married? so confused. either way, the guy is a dick. he says really controversial comments (well i find them controversial as in i don't agree with them, think he's rude and not carefull how he phrases things) and swears a lot when it's not needed. that's one of my pet peeves, unnecessary swearing. i mean i definitely do it too now and then (usually when drunk, hyper or mad...but when i'm mad it is necissary lol), but during class there's no need to drop the f bomb more than once every sentence. it makes you sound unintelligent.

dreaming

what happens when you mix...

+

+

=one crazy dream (that i had last night).

it was a mix between the matrix, a bug's life, an american apparel ad, and my real life dilemmas.

i only remember fragments of it now, but i know i was in nyc or l.a. and was at this party with this guy i know. tons of his cool friends were here who part-time modelled and the hang out turned into a photo sesh for an american apparel ad, which somehow was published within an hour caz we were looking at it later. then we all changed into white underwear combos and snuggled up and went to sleep.
next fragment there's a woman flying a commercial plane and she saw where she was going to land then there was fog all round the plane and she couldn't see and her radar said that it couldn't detect any ground. all fo a sudden the plane emerges from the fog and there are hundreds of planes all zooming around trying to not crash into each other. somehow all the planes in the country had been transported into the same area and were all barely missing each other. all planes can communicate through their radios and are thinking their transportation has to do with an alien invasion. all the helicopters that are in the sky are cooperating and flying in sync together like one big helicopter to try and avoid crashes with the planes.
new fragment. i'm a little boy on the ground and see whats going on with the planes in the sky. then i'm myself again running down from the roof of the building (where the party was) and running across the street to get away from the secret agents (from the matrix) who are everything. running down the street i see a figure flying down the surface of the road so i turn to run towards the water but i See a agent figure in the water too. so i turn around to run towards a valley of grass and see the beautiful skyline with twinkling stars and am mad i don't have my camera. i then yell to one of the guys i'm with from the party to grab all the ties (neck ties) in the house because one of the ties looks exactly like the view i'm looking at. he grabs the ties and i find the one look at it then throw it away. i start running down the street again and an agent appears in the street and tackles me.
now i'm the little boy again and notice that there are no agents in the grass so i take off into the huge valley and see my friend, the big fat caterpillar from the movie a bug's life. i tell him whats going on and hop on his back so we can fly away. but then we hear a kid scream and i go back to help the kid. and i'm looking into the kids eyes (to determine if he's an agent or real) the caterpillar screams HE'S AN AGENT! and the kids eyes go white and my whole surrounding is changed into a beige stringy fungus mess (kind of like the fungus stuff in the super mario brothers movie).
then i think i woke up.

i know you all probably don't care about what i dream lol, but i find dreams really interesting and i forget mine a lot, so i like to write them down.

i should make my dreams into a movie or a comic book. they're always so messed up.
i bet there are tons of typos in there, but i'm too lazy to go through right now and check it out. i will later.

"sometimes someone says something really small
and it fits right into this empty place in your heart."

i describe that as when your heart swells. i haven't had a non-movie related new one in a while, but i can remember when i had several, and each time i think of one now, my heart still swells a little bit.

he's a fox

i knew i had a dream last night! i just remembered that last night i dreamt that braydon szafranski (pro skateboarder) was my guy. i don't remember what happened in the dream anymore, but i saw a picture of him today and the flashbacks came-a-floodin.

(pics from epicly later'd)
p.s: yes, he has a bat tattooed on his face :)

101. stuck at 29.

there's this thing i've heard of recently. it's a goal list you make with 101 things you wish to accomplish in 1001 days (just under three years). i'm trying to think of 101 things. so far i'm at 29 things. i want to make them realistic, but also not too easy, i want to push myself.

one of the things on my list that i've wanted to do for years, is memorize hamlet's "to be or not to be" monologue. i'm not sure why i've wanted to memorize this, all i know is that i will.

To be, or not to be--that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles
And by opposing end them. To die, to sleep--
No more--and by a sleep to say we end
The heartache, and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to. 'Tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wished. To die, to sleep--
To sleep--perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub,
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause. There's the respect
That makes calamity of so long life.
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
Th' oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely
The pangs of despised love, the law's delay,
The insolence of office, and the spurns
That patient merit of th' unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? Who would fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscovered country, from whose bourn
No traveller returns, puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all,
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprise of great pitch and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry
And lose the name of action. -- Soft you now,
The fair Ophelia! -- Nymph, in thy orisons
Be all my sins remembered.

let's be best friends

you know someone is gorgeous if they can pull off a shaved head this well. plus i think she'd be really cool as a person.

apparently natile portman and i have the same taste in guys. she's dated several men that i think are babes, including devendra banhart and gael garcia bernal.

if she dates adrein brody or jason schwartzman in real life...let me know.

another one bites the dust

queen is the best for karaoke and dancing. even the birds know.

the weekend was a success.

friday after work kelsey and i met up and went to a passion party. i wont describe much of that, but i will tell you it was hilarious. ask me in person for details and to show you a video that will blow your mind. ha. we ended up at the toad and randomly met up with erik, his friend travis and edmonton. edmonton is everywhere! you don't invite him out, but he just ends up being where you are, it's the strangest thing. like magic. either way, the 5 of us just sat around and chatted. i had fun. i also learned that i apparently talk super soft. erik travis and edmonton were sitting across and beside me, and every time i spoke, all three of them leaned in to hear me. none of them was aware of it so being the awkward lass i am i pointed it out haha. it was cute because they all tried not to do it after, but after a while slipped back into the lean. it was really nice chatting with them.

last night was the karaoke fiesta, which was fun at the start but it got really busy and the singing line-up wait was over an hour so we ended up leaving. we did however get in three songs while we were there. semi-charmed life by third eye blind (sung by me and craig with chris do-do-doing in the background lol), next was under pressure by queen/david bowie aka craig/lauren/chris yet again, then i dragged shy (and drunk so less shy) kelsey on stage for the one song i knew she'd actually sing; scrubs by tlc. it was a lot of fun and we gained dancing fans throughout the night lol. chris is 6'6 aka a giant and craig is about 6 feet also, so while on stage to sing scrubs, kelsey (at five foot nothing) musta looked like a pygmy lol.

today i just wanted a lazy sunday which so far has been just that. slept til almost 11 (which is a big deal), and then wandered the mall and then read in chapters for a bit. i have a 400+ page book to read by tuesday...so i should probably get on that soon...

i hope you all have a lovable day.
