i think i want to learn how to knit. i'll probably only knit huge big ugly scarves, and that's a-ok with me!

this song is exactly how i'm feeling.

i put some more holes in my head. i got both tragus piercings done.
i like them! my new-piercing-itch has been scratched.
-------------

in other news, i saw inception. really well done!

tonight i might be going to see exit through the gift shop which is a documentary by banksy. i'll let you know how that goes if the plan doesn't fall through.
----------------

i finished that book i think was called "second hand"...it was ok. i wouldn't recommend it, but it was fine. it wasn't about very much. pretty much this guy who owns a second hand shop falls in love (really quickly might i add) with this girl who comes into his shop who happens to fancy him as well. she helps him overcome his mom's death and he helps her get over her commitment issues and her depression because of working at a vet's clinic and putting several animal's down a day. yup. that's pretty much the entire story. they also go to mexico for the day of the dead celebration. there's a lot of chapters where the main character richard aka junk, goes to yard sales and estate sales and describes all this "neat junk" he picks up. so for a lot of the book, you're reading about garage sales. hmm.

also, i just started to read a scanner darkly. i'm only on chapter 2, so i can't say much yet. so far it's about drugs, and i just got introduced to a drug cop.

summer course is going well. quiz 1: 90%, quiz 2: 93%, research paper: 80%. all i have is the final exam left. i'm hoping for a 90% again. i'll find out wednesday!

rockettothesky - grizzly man

this song is haunting.

has anyone ever heard of any blogs or books that are just collections of other people's dreams? if so, let me know. i would really like to read them.
i've been having tons of really bizarre dreams lately. not many of them good dreams.
whenever i tell people about my dreams they always say that they're amazed at how vividly i remember my dreams. i can usually tell you the details of my dream down to what the people in my dream were wearing. i think part of that is that when i write things down i remember them a lot easier. also while i type out my dreams, i find i shut my mind off a bit and just type and i remember a lot more of my dream as i'm writing it than i did when i sat down.
the brothers bloom.
i just watched it. i really really enjoyed it for the first few acts, but then the film started to mess with me and by the end of the film, i had decided i didn't like it that much. the ending made sense and fit well with the film, but it changed the tone of the movie. basically i liked it until it started to get too serious. also it felt like it should have ended way before it did.

the female characters took the cake in this film. although the character bang bang pretty much didn't speak, she was hilarious. obviously i fell in love with adrien brody's character too, but then sort of fell out of love with him by the end.

huh. i thought i saw joseph gordon-levett at one point in the background of the film and i got really excited, but then he didn't show up again so i thought i must be imagining things. just did a little research and i was right, he made a dialogue-less cameo. apparently the cast of brick (joseph gordon-levett, nora zehetner and noah segan) are all in that party scene and the director stuck them in because they were visiting the set at the time and he found it sort of fitting to have the cast of one con movie colliding in a party of con artists in another con film. intriguing.
