oh janice

cool, so major blonde moment today. i woke up at 6 caz my dad said he could give me a ride to my bus stop at 7 so i wouldn't have to take two buses to school for my exam today. i get there at 8, and am surprised to see no one else around the room. oh well. so i just close my eyes and nap for a little bit, wake up 20 min later. stil no one. wait til 8:40 and think shit, k where is everyone. i call my dad to get him to check the online exam schedule....my exam is at 9am on thursday the 11th. not today, the 9th. LAME. lol i'm such a dweeb. worst part is, i totally checked the schedule this morning to make sure i went to the right room...and the date and time is right next to the location on the schedule, so i totally scanned right over it and never noticed.

so with all hope lost, and already out and ready for the day. i decide to just go to the mall and finish my xmas shopping. to bad the mall doesn't open at 9. ugh. so i waited around and talked to my friend andrew. i also ran into amy, so it turned out to be ok.

except in the bus shack waiting for my bus home there were about 8 little kids and they were all starring at me. really freaked me out, i hate when people stare, makes me feel so uncomfortable! normally if kids stare at me, i just stare back, but i was outnumbered! gash!

good news of the day:
-xmas shopping done
-jenna is hilarious because of her response: "dale, stop being such a woman." (lol sorry dale, but it was such a jenna comment i had to laugh!)
-my winter coat keeps me warm (so far)
-i found a clutch i like
-a whap daba lou bop a whap bam boo

rooooooar! art history has been slain! heck yes. i'm not sure how i did, it depends on if i guessed right titles. we'll see. either way i don't care, it's done! two more exams and one painting to go and i'm done this term. rawr.




here are some painting by goya. they're dark and badass. he went crazy at the end of his painting career and only painted crazy dark stuff. there's one image i don't feel like posting where there's this naked monster man thing which i've heard is supposed to be him, and it's biting off the head of some person who is already missing an arm. way to be creepy goya, way to be creepy.
i hope this is the kind of stuff i'll be studying next term. no more buildings. unless they're haunted. ok? ok.


update: ewwwwww. i just figured out i have to leave my house at 7:30 am to make it to school in time for my exam. whuff. why don't i have a caaaaar. complain complain wah wah wah. whatever.

this weekend was pretty great! although i'm studying every spare moment which is lame.

friday kelsey had people over to her apartment. ridiculous amounts of tequila were consumed. i'm not even sure how. pre-party, i thought kelsey needed some decorations, so i made a wreath, jemaine (from flight of the conchords) and me out of construction paper [picture above] and glued (yes GLUED) them to kelsey's wall. probably not the best idea in retrospect, but, uhm...we'll deal with that later. good people, fun night.

saturday, craig, kels and i went to a thing at the wag showing the best commercials of 2008. there were some super good ones, and then there were a bunch of short films for halo3 which were lame, because they were long, and you wouldn't get them unless you played the game...aka unless you were the 1 person in the auditorium who played...everyone else was mid 40's or older..whuff. i had a good time though, even though it was super cold and thought my lungs would freeze on the walk back to the car. then i remembered, oh wait, it only gets worse. hurray.

so it took me an extra half hour to get home today, because i took two wrong turns. sad thing is, i took the same route home i've taken dozens of times. i missed the turn off onto aldgate, then ended up on the primeter, but i wasn't sure where i was on the perimeter, so instead of taking the turn off onto st.mary's i missed it and couldn't turn off until pembina, and then had to take the long way home. i'm directionally handicapped.

plus two christmas song related fails:
i just found out last year that no, mom is not cheating on dad with santa in "i saw mommy kissing santa clause"...because the dad is santa :P and i also learned that in "winter wonderland", the words are "later on we'll conspire, as we sit by the fire", not "perspire as we sit by the fire." yes, lets write a romantic christmas song about sweating in front of the fire, that would be brilliant.

funniest conversation during my staff party. april's bf's last name is ham, and she was listing off a bunch of first names you could give your kid to make a wicked name that's also funny, like may ham (aka mayhem). we all are giggling, then erika chimes in:
"ya! or like...BOB ham!!! or Janice ham!!! they're all so funny!!!"
lol, i don't think she got the joke, either way we all laughed really hard. ohhhh erika.

this is bobb bruno. he's my newest best friend. i hate mascots, but i can see his face, so he's okay. he makes me happy.

egads, i've been having the strangest dreams.

last night was my staff xmas party, it was alright, i think we were all pretty tired and not in so much of a party mood. we played cranium but got the rules messed up so some teams (including mine) only got like, two turns. it was stll fun though, people got...creative...during the game to say the least haha. i watched my boss act out "vibrate" very hilariously and a girl named erika who's the most sweet ungangster girl ever shout out "I'M RICK JAMES BITCH! IIIYAAAA!!!" over and over as "dave chappelle" lol. i ate way too much food, but it was fun, i think we're going for a karaoke night after xmas when we all have energy again.

i'm looking forward to this weekend. kels is on holidays this week so i've been able to catch up with her and on friday she's havin people over then saturday a bunch of us are heading to the wag for the best commercials of 2008. it's kind of silly if you think about it, that we're going to pay to sit in a theatre and watch advertisements. i think it will be fun though. i really should be studying for my art history exam this week/weekend caz its on monday, but i'm just so not into that, i'd rather be having fun thanks.

oh p.s: if you like really REALLY lame jokes i have two "funny" ones for you (i personally think they're hilarious, but it seems no one else does...both involve dancing..) and if you like super offensive jokes, i have a really awful one that you'll go to hell for laughing at, but guaranteed you will laugh. ask me to tell them in real life and i will.
