"I just want to know you."
"Nobody knows anyone. You will never ever know me."
-Rules of Attraction

i liked this a lot. i didn't think i would, but i did. it was weird, it was funny, just all around pretty decent.

i also watched Bully. it was really good, but pretty disturbing. left me feeling weird tonight, lol definitely not one for bringing on the good moods. i didn't realise how many actors i knew were in it. aka i didn't know michael pitt was in it, and i've seen most of his stuff. he does really weird movies, but for whatever reason i like it.

so today i bussed an hour to school for my 2.5 hour class. literally right as class is about to start, the power goes out in the building and class gets cancelled. boo.

it was a pain, but that's ok. i listened to some killer tunes on the way over. liiiiike toto's africa lol wicked. you know you love it.

film studies

"Someday, someone is going to walk into your life and make you realize why it never worked out with anyone else."
via itsonlythewind

yesterday i had to rent a film for a paper i'm doing on mario bava. it's for my european horror film class, but all of his horror films were rented out so i rented a suspense/crime/thriller of his called rabid dogs. it was not bad.

i also rented bully, and the rules of attraction. (rules of attraction, because a blog i read has been talking about it a lot, and because shannon sossamon is a huge babe.)

i don't like that school takes up so much time. i'd rather be doing something else. i guess i can't complain too much when my homework involves watching films, and classroom time involves discussion of zombies, and spontaneous rhyming comments.
i always think "i'm jealous, that person is in school for FASHION?!" but then i have to remember "wait..i'm in school for FILM?!(and art history)". as much as i whine and complain about papers....i guess it is a pretty cool thing to be studying, i do learn a lot. i just wish you didn't have to write papers.

my problem with papers are that they come with a word count limit. i'm always having to add on pointless babble to fill up the word count.

the devil's advocate. wicked movie.

in my class "the popular film" one of the guys broke out into a rhyme as he commented on the film. i was only half listening when he started, then realised he was rhyming the whole thing, when i looked over he had a huge grin on his face. my prof started "rap dancing", i'm not sure what else to call it haha. he's an old fart of a proff too. that's one thing you gotta love about film class, you never know what to expect. the rhyme cheered me up completely.
