ms paint...i missed you

today i was wasting time. so i drew myself as a cartoon. wasn't sure how it'd turn out, but hey i'm pretty pleased! it took ages caz i did it on ms paint. i got too lazy to do a bod, so i'm just a floating head for now. i really should get photoshop, it would have been a lot easier...

i used to draw so much stuff on the computer when i had ridiculous amounts of free time. *sigh* one day...

one of my gifts (while actually two of my gifts because my grandma and my parents got me the same things) were the last two books in the twilight series. ya, i still like em a lot. i read 300 pages yesterday :)
my folks also got me a book with photos by simon annand of theatre actors in the last 30 minutes before they go on stage. the images are pretty neat.
another book i got was 1001 movie to see before you die. thanks to my film classes and workin in a video store, i actually have seen a nice chunk of them! i think i probably will try to go through them, might as well. or at least the ones i want to see.
apparently everyone knows my love of books and coffee, because i got a chapters gift cert and 3 starbucks gift certs lol.

christmas eve was pretty good, we all ate too much, went to church (which was boring), and played cranium (my team kicked ass).

my sister and i watched some episodes of how i met you mother before we went to bed that night, actually a really cute show. the guy from forgetting sarah marshall is in it, so is neil patrick harris, and the band camp girl from amercian pie. (i'm awful with actors names and too lazy to look them up).

so, next up is new years! not sure what the plan is there yet, but i'm assuming it's going to be a good one.

oh p.s: craig and i totally got kelsey to name her cat grafty....which is short for skin graft....lol i don't know if this is funny or sad, i'll go with hilarious.

life fail.

ugh. i failed so hard, so many times today... and it's only 3pm.

1) i get a call at 10:30 from work "lauren, where are you?"
-shit, i thought i didn't work today. i toss on some clothes and run out of the house five minutes later to catch my buses
2) i forget my cell at home
-i can't tell them i'm on my way
3) i show up at 11:30
- i'm an hour and a half late for work
4) my owner is there
-since she's there and it's slow, they cancelled my shift
5) they tried to call me but since i flew out of the house so fast and forgot my phone, they couldn't get a hold of me

so i said that's cool whatever, i went shoppin in os and then the mall. here come some more fails:

6) clumsy me dropped a ring at aldo and it broke...i didn't say anything though lol

7) after buying some stuff at the mall, i waited for my bus to come, it was late so i took a different one
-i forgot a bag of mine on the bus. fuck.

so i officially failed 7 times in about 3 hours. a new record perhaps? my head has just not been on right the past week. my god.

edit: FUCK YA! SUSAN FROM WINNIPEG TRANSIT I HOPE YOU HAVE THE MERRIEST FUCKING CHRISTMAS! susan (the lady at lost and found wpgtransit) called the bus and asked if the driver could protect my bag! and i will have it in about an hour!! lets just hope i don't fail yet again and miss that bus lol.

thoughts

i think it's funny and a little bit sad, how when i'm doing shit all in my room, aka reading or on the interwebs, if i hear what i think is the garage door opening, i quickly panic. for fear that i forgot to do a chore i was asked to complete. lol my heart skips a beat on a regular basis.

it's because i forget to listen sometimes.

yesterday was all kinds of ridiculous. my brain was in a whole other universe. i think i started dozens of sentences that were left unfinished about thoughts i didn't realise i was talking about out loud lol. again, i think part of my problem was forgetting to listen when people were telling me what to do. after work my bosslady took us all out for drinks and eats at carlos and murphey's i had a lot of fun. i'd spaced out while drinking my ice tea and was singing "i neeeed someone to looove, can it beeee anyboddddyyyy???" apparently realy loud and then i caught kesley's eye just starring at me. and i went bright red and laughed until tears came. lol it was stupid. everyone got really buzzed and my bosslady broke a wine glass. i think i knew our waitress but i'm not sure. i really like my work girls.

i work all week, except christmas. not looking forward to working christmas eve or new years eve. ugh. dunno what we're doing yet for n.y.e, but i think it will be fun.


i can't find my super nintendo games, or my xbox games anywhere. i'm craving a game of tony hawk or super mario world. i just remembered i have the chronicles of narnia game too lol. sweet.

my parents decided it got too hot at night and turned the heat way down. i'm freezing. this is what i look like. yes, i'm drinking an ice cap, and yes i realise it probably doesn't help the whole warmth situation...

le brrrrrr. je suis froid.

p.s: i think this is the first year since the one piece snow suit age, that my winter jacket has actually kept me warm in -40 or colder. go espirit!


hey has anyone seen slumdog millionaire? i want to go, its playing at the globe. the globe's popcorn is extremely over priced which makes me dislike them a little. but only a little.
