more things from my childhood, this time around...board games!!
dr. dreadful, pretty much the boy version of easy bake oven, but instead of cookies and cakes, you made "monster skin" and gummie spiders, mm mmm good.
don't break the ice!! i never had this game, but i remember my babysitter did, i'm not sure how to play though
don't wake daddy! also used to play this at a babysitters place. i don't remember exactly how to pla, but i think you pulled cards that would say how many spaces forward you had to move to get to the fridge or the bathroom or osmething, and for each space you had to move, you had to press daddy's alarm clock button an dif you woke him up you were sent back to the start!
hungry hungry hippos. used to LOVE this game. it required zero skill, just a whole lot of pounding on a lever
mouse trap! this game was fun, but there were so many pieces and i had such a short attention span, by the time my sister set up the game, i didn't want to play anymore lol
pizza party!! my grade one class had this game to play with, i remember plaing it while wiating for our turn to perform at an xmas concert, i was a soilder :)
oh and just two more toys that i'm sure you all remember:
calidornia raisons...not sure why they were made into a toy (and later a cartoon?!?!) they kind of look like a turd with arms, legs and wicked sunnies
popples! little stuffed animals that kind of could be turned inside out so that sat in a pouch of their own fur...hmm that actually sounds realy gross now...either way my sister had these and one used to turn into a flower, i was so jealous of it
p.s: does anyone remember that game where there was a timer and you had to quickly put all these different shaped pieces into their spot on a board, and if you didn't finish before the timer went off, it would pop and al your pieces would go flying everywhere? what was that was called?
oh! and remember that fishing game, with the fish that rotated in a circle and opened and closed their mouths and you had to catch them with your magnetic fishing rod and whoever got all of their color of fish out of the pond first won?

I had pretty much all of those when I was a kid. I have a particularly fond memory of playing Pizza Party with my family under the kitchen table when I was like 8.
