they really do eat crumpets!

so im in engalnd now!

we arrived on tuesday and went to see the dark knight. super good if you haven't seen it yet. really long though and had a lot of stuff going on for one movie.
wednesday, we went into nottingham which i thought was pretty sweet. we found this vintage store with mountains and mountains of stuff to dig through and i found these hot pink leather ankle boots that look pretty much exactly like ones we're getting in my work in blue, expect i only had to pay 10 pounds which is about 20$, aka super good price. we went into a bunch of other stores, one of them being h&m and i bought a cardigan. we stopped by a place called wagamama (or as i've been calling it wag your momma) for "big bowls of noodles" and they were not lying. they were freakin HUGE bowls of noodles. i don't think i even ate 1/4 of that. it was good though.
things stereotyically britian that i've seen:
-double decker red bus
-red phone booth (which i have yet to take a picture in because i feel like a big geeky tourist)
-bad teeth
-crumpets! (which i have discovered that i love)

p.s: marcus' has cows living behind him in a field, but he doesnt have a backyard, so this field pretty much is his backyard. therefore marcus has cows in his backyard.

hey, so i'm in bulgaria. and so far the trip's been good. we're staying at a fancy ski resort here (since its summer, we're pretty much the only ones here which is cool). it's about a 30min walk to the closest little town. it kind of reminds me of banff, but with grassy mountains and knock off sport brands. its very touristy. tonight we're going into an actual town for some food and partying which should be fun :) we went on a gondola ride earlier today which was sweet, because ut went so much higher than we thought it did and after a good 30 minutes...

uhm, so side note, i was just heating up my curling iron, and this morning when i used it it reeked of burning and i didn't know why. marcus told me their voltage is a lot higher over here so i was like "ok whatever, i guess this will just work faster" well, i guess its a hell of a lot hotter than i thought because my curling iron just MELTED and then fell apart! lol wicked...it was my best one! maybe i'll see if i can buy another in a shop somewhere lol. weird.

anyway, on with my story, so after 30 min or more, we arrive at the top of the mountain and theres mist everywhere. it looks like a shot out of wrong turn or something. and theres these random thin men about who look like sailors you see in scary movies. we found this little cabin at the end of a trail that was the exact image again from a horror film...hey i guess if i ever become a cinematographer filming horror, i know where to come. the people inside were didn't really speak english and i think bulgarians speak russian so they appeared really intimidating. they were nice though lol. to use the washroom i had to walk by a stray limping dog to the back of the cabin into a random bathroom. whenever i ask for a bathroom or washroom, the bulgarians look at me weird so i say toilet and they laugh and point be in the right direction.

i just realised I'm rambling so i'll stop lol, i'll tell you all more interesting things when i get home. oh, my camera is whacked so i may buy a disposable, those are fun. miss you all!

p.s: this post is bad spelling galore because I'm typing on a laptop and the spell check isn't working. so deal with it! X

hurra! it has come at last!

Photobucket
i ordered this a few weeks ago and it finally arrived! even as an adult, i love getting mail!

remember chain letters before the creation of the internet? i never once got a pack of stickers from a sticker chain letter! geez, and hand writting them all? nutso, but totally worth it for whoever got the mail.
why is mail (not counting bills, etc.) still so fun to receive?

i just want to order a bunch of stuff online now just for it to arrive in the mailbox.

i saved up a load of money for my trip, but i just converted it in my head today and since gbp are like half of whatever i saved, i feel like i have zip. i hope this doesn't cost more then i planned, because once i pay for the trip and for school, i will have zero dollars..

the trip is still 1000000% worth it and i'm really excited. it still wont seem real until i'm on the plane or until i see marcus. 4 daysssss

so many more good ones on the site

sometimes, i can be such a girl

so last night on a whim, kels and i went and got our nails did. i got a pedicure which was really weird. the chair i sat in was a massage chair that did a full back of body massage and had some weird pumps in the seat that would pretty much just squeeze my ass (i bet it was just a person hiding in the seat copping a feel). then he cut my toe nails (weird to have someone else do, and kind of gross), and then scrubbed my feet with a file and some big scrapper thing! grooooss. also, me feet are super ticklish so i was trying to hard not to kick the guy in the face the whole time. after he did whatever to my feet, he exfoliated my legs from the knee down (which hurt a little caz the scrub he used had super huge sand grains in it and he was rubbing really hard) and then massaged my legs with lotion...i was not expecting my legs to be apart of the process. anyway, then he painted my nails and blah blah blah it looked nice. just such a weird experience. he did a good job, but i think it's safe to say, i wont be getting a pedi for a loooooong time.

also went and got my hair done today (color and a trim). same color as always. i missed my connecting bus caz my first one was way late. so then i had to bum around for 30 min and then when my bus finally came, and i'm already 20 min late for my appt, i missed my stop and got off 6 or 7 stops late and had to jog to my appt and got there 35 min late :( i hate buses and i hate being late.

but then my day got better and i met up with cal and we went to the zoo/for ice cream/for talks/skipped stones (aka he did and i watched because i don't know how)/and went into some cafe.
here are some pictures:

warwick avenueeee

someone put her cd on the playlist at frockstar, its actually really nice to listen to on rainy days. i always put this one on. it's super catchy and i feel guilty for liking it :)

tomorrow i finally have a day off. i think i'm going to go buy my folks bday presents (caz i'll be gone for their actual bdays so i want to have something ready for them so i can just call them and be like "look in the 3rd drawer of my dresser", and then they'll be delighted) sucks im missin their bdays caz i love birthdays.
depending if its windy or not, i may also bike to the forks?

hey juuuude

looooooove and paaaaaaaaain sunshiiiiiine and rain!

went to the kings head again tonight (you can pretty much expect me there every sunday). tonight it was pretty lame though and whatever song i just sang up there is in my head.

i had a dream last night that i did a playboy photo shoot with jude law, but it wasn't a trashy shoot, it was more like a naked vouge artistic shoot. either way, nudie pics were takin and published. and then so the rest of my dream was me regretting the shoot and on a train trying to hide the pictures from my mom caz i didn't want her to find out and be disappointed in me.

i love love

just watched charlie bartlett and was pleasantly surprised! lots of degrassi actors in it, i'm guessing it was a canadian film, which makes it even more of a surprise that i liked it so much :) the story's not the same at all, but from the start i caught influences of harold and maude and then sitting by the piano, charlie and his live interest start singing "if you want to sing out, sing out", and they had me. it was cute, if you watch charlie bartlett, don't go in expecting tons, but it's definitely worth a watch!
(just checked [via imdb.com] and it's not a canadian film technically, but it was all filmed in canada, hence the amount of canadian actors)

p.s: i would love to hold hands and skip/dancelikenobodyswatching in a meadow right now. gee whiz, movies make me love life. even though they're scripted, sometimes they are so spot on. or at least sort of, but intensified. even still, i love love movies and i love real love. love love love love.
p.p.s: ten days until england!

oh dear..

so now that i've moved on up to frckstr to work, a place which sells all dresses, i'm supposed to now wear...all dresses. not a problem at all seeing as how i love dresses and would love to wear one everyday! the only thing is, i can't afford any of the dresses we sell right now, and all of the dresses i have are from other stores in os so i i can't really go around reppin someone elses store now can i? hmmm. so today i threw together an outfit. i'm wearing my navy dress from joe (aka superstore) with a scarf from ootb (reppin my work a little), and a red belt from the 80's or something from my mom's closet.

Photobucket

now my problem is, i can't tell if i look cool and put together, or like a big mess! yipes, i'm going to give it a go i guess, because the only things dress/skirt related i have from my work, i wore last week, i have to at least wait til the end of this week to pull em out again...

this is how i've felt all day.

also, this is work by brian dettmer, he cuts up books, kind of like an autopsy, and show's you whats inside. when i saw these, it blew my mind, i don't know why, but i think this is he coolest art i've seen in a while.

13 days to go...

only 13 more days (holy shit) til i leave for england/bulgaria to see marcus! just realized how soon that is! :D

Photobucket
it's kind of hard to make out, but the pink blog on the left is where i depart from (canada), then the middle one is derby, england where marcus lives, then the last blob on the right is sofia bulgaria!

so the plan (thus far) is, i arrive in england and meet up with marcus and we just hang out (aka i'll probably sleep) for the day, then the next day we fly to bulgaria with his dad, his dad's fiance, his sister, her gf, and a bunch of other people, for his dad's wedding. the hotel we're gonna be staying in looks super cool and i think that it will be crazy fun. then after ten days i think or so, marcus and i are heading back to england where we have a few days to chill and gather our things for our trip to the big chill music festival which i'm super pumped for. then we'll come back from that and just kind of hang out for the last week i'm there. swing by london for a few days and see where he grew up.

i'm scared shitless, but i think it'll be awesome, i miss him a lot XX

gonna find my baby, gonna hold her tight, gonna grab some afternoon delight..

i forgot to update, games night was a complete success! there weren't many games played, but that's always a secondary in games night anyway.

these pictures pretty much sum up the night:

canada day was also a success! i was in os for the whole day, from 1-8 working which was pretty hectic but i had fun anyway. around 8 when we started to close up our booth/tent we were all getting frusterated and just wanted the partying to start. dayna, brit, april and i went to april's appartment to freshen up and then headed back into the village to meet up with the rest of the girls. we ended up in the tavern where it got really fun. we had a blow horn that we were told to stop using so it was turned into a beer bong. these 3 people in the booth next to ours fell in love with us all and the couple in the 3 bought me drinks which was wicked. the boyfriend kept pushing me into pictures with his girlfriend so now theres about a million pictures of me and a random couple somewhere on facebook, if you see me, let me know. (its sad that in wpg this isn't impossible, everyone is seperated by max, 3 people, even though the city is pretty large...i guess we're all just really friendly). it was fun though and they were super nice. the drummer from all the kings men (who i go see often at the kings head) was there so i went and talked to him and got a picture with him just because i thought it would be really funny to show kels later because she loves him. it was all in all a great canada day :)
p.s: the boyfriend of the couple looked super familliar but i couldn't figure out who i thought he looked like until this morning...alan tudyk (except younger)

Photobucket
(he's in a knighst tale as the funny redhead who's kind of a prick, and he's also the guy who thinks he's a pirate in dodgeball)

when dayna posts some pics of fb, i'll post a few to show

oh, canada

pretty much, the two places everyone goes to on canada day, are the forks and osborne village. this will be my first canada day working in the village, and i'm getting scared! it's going to be insanely busy. they have me schedged to work til 8, but all the other employee's are saying they doubt we'll stay open past six and then we can go party. i wish i didnt have to work and could just go party. or at least since i do work, i hope i can work in the outside booth so i can see everything that's going on. if you live in the peg, maybe i will see you there! keep an eye out for me and come say hi.
