stepping into a new world

saw this on boingboing today:

"Photobucket
Scott Beale says: "As part of their Image of the Day series, NASA posted a beautiful image of a sunset on Mars sent by the Mars Exploration Rover Spirit on May 19, 2005.'"

:)

marcus showed me this song. it should be listened to while looking at the above picture and thinking about all the infinite possibilities.

You know why the sunset/rise isn't red on Mars? There's not much of an atmosphere to redshift the light comming from the sun! That picture is really cool, but it's a little spooky at the same time. I'm used to sunsets/rises having a lot more colour, at least here on Earth, so it gives me a strange feeling. Like I'm watching something I'm not allowed to, or something. You know the feeling.
