I guess the Japanese/Korean/Wherever this thing is from don't understand that gingers are actually humans, and don't emerge from their mother's wombs covered with thick tufts of hair. I guess it's understandable that they wouldn't, I don't think you can have a ginger person naturally occur in those places.
